This week were are working on evaluating numerical expressions with whole number exponents. We reviewed the order of operations and learned a song to help us remember.
Here's what happening this week: Monday- Order of Operations Activities Tuesday- 1.3 Order of Operations lesson assignment: pg 20-21, 6-14 even, 15-25 odd, 26-32 even Wednesday-1.3 practice A handout, Thursday- Order of Operations project Friday- 1.4 Prime factorization activities This week we are working on these objectives:
Welcome back to school! I hope everyone is enjoying 6th grade so far. This week were are preparing to begin our first chapter, Numerical Expressions and Factors. Please keep practicing milt-digit multiplication and long division skills!
Here's what is going on this week: Monday: Multiplication and Division practice Tuesday: Textbook and scavenger hunt- make sure Textbook damage reports are turned in by Friday. Wednesday: Chapter 1 pre-test Thursday: Chapter 1 opener and notes Friday: finish chapter 1 opener and fair game review practice problems 1-21 odd Have a great week! This is our last full week of school! We are finishing up a unit on rates and ratios. Our last quiz will be on Friday, June 6th.
This has been a great year. The students worked hard in keeping up with there math notebooks and assignments. I highly suggest keeping the notebooks as they will be a valuable resource to use next year. Have a great summer! Welcome back! We are in the home stretch of the school year!
